Cozumel sits just off Mexico's Yucatán coast and has been on every diver's bucket list since Jacques Cousteau put it on the map. The reefs are protected inside a national marine park, the water in July is bath-warm, and the gentle current does most of the work: you drift along coral walls and swim-throughs while the reef scrolls past like a slow movie.
Exact sites are chosen each day by the dive crew based on currents and the group's experience.
Home base is the Cozumel Hotel & Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, a beachfront all-inclusive about a mile from downtown San Miguel. It has the biggest pool on the island, a hot tub for post-dive soaking, a seaside lunch buffet, and rooms with terraces made for hanging wet gear. Best of all for divers, there's a full-service dive shop right on property and the boats pick us up at the hotel's own pier. No early van rides, no hauling gear across town.
All-inclusive covers three meals a day, snacks, and domestic drinks.
If you need other rooming arrangement than what is offered, please reach out, there are other options available with the hotel, i.e. trips, suites, and more.
While the divers are out on the boat, non-divers have the whole island to play with. Snorkel the shallow reef right off the hotel beach, or spend a day at Chankanaab Park, where there's a lagoon, a beach club and easy snorkeling. Rent a scooter or Jeep and loop the island's wild, undeveloped east coast, stopping at beach bars along the way. Explore the Maya ruins at San Gervasio, or the lighthouse and lagoons of Punta Sur Eco Park. Downtown San Miguel is a short walk or cab ride away, with its waterfront promenade, shops, tequila tastings and great local food. For a bigger outing, the ferry to Playa del Carmen opens up the mainland, or you can join the whale shark snorkel trip. And if the plan is simply the pool, the hot tub and a drink in hand, the all-inclusive has that covered. Everyone meets back up in the afternoon for lunch, sunsets and dinner together.
We dive with Dive Paradise, Cozumel's largest operator, running trips on the island since 1984. Morning boats leave the hotel pier around 8:30 and you're back by early afternoon, with the whole afternoon free for the pool, the beach or a nap. Groups stay small underwater — one divemaster for every eight divers, and boats are capped at 16 divers — with snacks and water on board and oxygen and first aid on every vessel.
Discover the beauty of Cozumel's underwater world with our week-long diving itinerary. Your adventure begins with five days of double-tank boat dives, starting on Sunday and ending on Thursday. Additionally, we've scheduled daily house reef dives, offering a variety of underwater experiences.
For those seeking extra excitement, there are optional night boat dives at an additional cost avaialble, as well as shore day and shore night dives. Nitrox is recommended for the boat dives, but not needed for the shallow reef dives in front of the hotel.
For those that aren't certified you can get certified in paradise or take advantage of our snorkeling trips to El Cielo and other fun activities.
Diving in Cozumel caters to divers of all skill levels, with exceptional visibility ranging from 60 to 90 feet, mild currents ideal for drifting, awe-inspiring underwater walls, and water temperatures in the pleasant mid to upper-80s throughout the year. We've partnered with Dive Paradise, ensuring a top-notch diving experience. Conveniently, our pick-up and drop-off points are right at the hotel dock, and dive lockers are readily accessible down by the dock.

Alternatively, you can opt for Cancun (CUN) as your arrival airport, but this choice will extend your travel time. From Cancun, you'll need to take a bus, taxi, or shuttle to the ferry in Playa Del Carmen, then embark on a ferry ride to Cozumel, followed by a taxi to the hotel.
