What to Expect on Your Oyster Dive:

We start early, right at sunrise, departing from Gone Fishin’ Charters in Annapolis, MD. Our expert team, led by oyster diving guru Dave and Captain Ray, will guide you to prime oyster beds. You'll use lift bags and specialized crates (provided per buddy team) to collect your oysters. While visibility may be limited, we'll teach you techniques to maximize your haul and minimize stirring up the bottom. It's an active, engaging dive that promises a rewarding experience.

 

Essential Gear:

  • Please bring 2 tanks, a 7mm wetsuit (minimum), gloves, hood, weights, and your full scuba gear. Rental gear is available through us!
  • Don't forget a thermos for hot coffee/tea and a cooler for your oysters (and post-dive beverages!).
  • We have convenient parking and a bathhouse with showers and changing areas for your comfort.

There is a parking lot by the dock for you to use and unload. You can keep your car there. There is a bath house with showers and changing area afterwards as well. Bring warm clothes to change into.
