PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
If you’re an Open Water Diver and wondering what’s next — this is it. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is where you crank up the adventure, sharpen your skills, and unlock epic new dive experiences.
We like to call it: Expand Your Underwater Playground
With YAY Scuba’s expert instructors by your side, you’ll get a taste of exciting specialties like wreck diving, night diving, buoyancy finesse, underwater imaging, and so much more. It’s all about building confidence, discovering what kind of diver you want to be, and—let’s be honest—having a blast doing it.
Here’s how it works:
You don’t need to be a pro. You just need to be curious, a little adventurous, and ready to see what’s possible beneath the surface.
Possible Adventure Dives include:
Underwater Videography
Naturalist Dive
AWARE diver
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, compass, visual landmarks and time.
Prerequisites & Requirements
Equipment
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass, DSMB and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously use a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive or an underwater camera system during the Photography Adventure Dive. Our PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving.
Included

Furthermore, we recommend that you have a computer, compass, lights (especially if you elect to do the night dives) and a DSMB. We offer these pacakges for our AOW students at good prices.
